Angelica Garcia is a 21-year-old singer-songwriter and California native now based in Richmond, Virginia. A lifelong music lover and creative writer, she began writing songs as a way to merge her passions. She studied vocal jazz at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, performing at events like the Monterey Jazz Festival, and later earned an Associate of Arts degree while preparing her debut album.
Discovered after auditioning for Warner Bros. Records, Garcia put her academic plans at UVA on hold to pursue her artistry full-time. Her debut album, produced by Charlie Peacock and set for release in 2016, features 15 original songs that explore themes of identity, loss, and recovery. Having toured with Delta Rae and grown her fan base, she draws inspiration from Richmond’s vibrant arts scene and cultural history.
Her music—quirky, thoughtful, and philosophical—reflects the perspective of a young, observant artist on the rise.
